  • Well, to be honest, I never thought on photographs as something you can smell and probably I never did because I never thought on pictures as something you can eat.
The link from my nose to my mouth is a quiet good highway, the way down from the eye to the mouth as well and there is even a very comfortable road from the eye to the ear, but the path that climbs up form the nose to the eye ends up in the brushwood.
Although it is not that there are no aromas in my work. The point is, that I only find E.g.! While cleaning the vessels there is a range of different observations my nose has to withstand.
The heavy perfumes of the cosmetics, the simple variety of dishwashers, the penetrating washing lotions, the ethereal odour of medical solutions, the aroma of gasoline while rising motoroil bottles, the sharp, braindamashing evaporation of the dilute solution which is necessary to peel of the labels and stickers and after all the sticky atmosphere in the darkroom.
May one can find in this short excerpt a second explanation why I never tried to attribute smells to my work.
    May I should try.
